Australia is a wonderful combination of rural outback, urban city living and laidback beach life. It’s the kind of place that most of us dream of. Bondi Beach is one of the most well-known and beautiful beaches in Australia. Its party atmosphere, laidback locals and great oceanic views, really make this beach one of the must see places in Australia, if not the world. Alongside either end of Bondi Beach are some fantastic coastal walks that take you around the outskirts of Bondi, all the way south to Coogee (5k trail) or alternatively north up to the heads (3k trail). These trails are two of the best walks to do in Australia and will help you enjoy, explore and experience Bondi and its surround.
Uluru is found within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia’s Northern Territory. It is a sacred natural formation that is almost 550 million years old. This massive red sandstone is one of the top iconic monuments found in Australia. Although its presence is far away from popular destinations like Sydney, Melbourne or Queensland, its sight is definitely worth the journey!
SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
Sydney’s Harbour Bridge and Opera House are two structures that are certainly worth seeing, if you visit Sydney. Along the harbour are some great restaurants and bars that you can just kick back, have a beer and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. Among the top bars in Sydney is Opera Bar, it is a perfect venue from on a beautiful sunny day and continues to party until the night. Moreover, every Saturday night at 8pm are the Sydney Harbour fireworks, which are a wonderful sight to see over the beautiful backdrop of the Sydney Harbour and city skyline.
WEDDING CAKE ROCK
Wedding Cake Rock is found in the outskirts of the Australian Royal National Park. It can only be reach by trekking through a 2km trail, coming from the middle of the bush and heading to the cliffs that lead up to the ocean. The Wedding Cake Rock looks out to the ocean, its prominent shape and distinct rock type, makes it stand out. It is popular among tourists and new weds that look to take a photo with this one of a kind rock. While there is no charge to see the Wedding Cake Rock, you will have to pay a parking fee if you travel by car. Furthermore, if you are going to the Australian Royal National Park, there are plenty of beautiful beaches to visit within. As well, another big attraction is the Great Ocean drive which is nearby and has some outstanding views that will surely top off your day.
